Terry Wynter is head judge of the 2011 Regional SkillsUSA Contest!

Posted February 21st, 2011 by admin and filed in Events

Terry Wynter Auto Service Center is a product of Terry’s original interest and passion for cars that he has held since his high school years. This life-long interest makes his continued participation as a judge in the Regional SkillsUSA Contest for the automotive industry an honor.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry professionals working together to ensure today’s students become world-class workers and respectable leaders. The Regional SkillsUSA Contest will be held February 23 at Lee County High Tech Central and is Terry’s second time participating as a judge for this program. In June 2010, he judged the SkillsUSA National Conference in Kansas City, for which high school students from across the country participated in a competition of various work-related skills, including auto mechanics.

“I am thrilled to be asked to participate in this important program for youth for the second time. It is programs like SkillsUSA that help young people build the trade skills and professionalism necessary to be successful in the future,” said Terry. “It is also a joy to be able to share my passion for the automotive industry with motivated students in our community.”

Terry hopes his passion for cars, driven work ethic and automotive service expertise will inspire students from Lee County High Tech Central to choose a career in the automotive industry.

What happens in Vegas. Does NOT stay in Vegas!

Posted November 13th, 2009 by admin and filed in Events

Kay and I just spent a week attending three automotive trade shows and conferences in Las Vegas and came back with the latest information concerning tools, parts and software related to the automotive service and repair industry. Cutting edge tools and equipment were introduced and training on every aspect of the auto service and repair industry was available.

This year, I was fortunate enough to participate as a speaker at one of the conferences. I was on a panel with two other shop owners and discussed recent changes in the auto repair industry. It was quite an honor to be included in this distinguished panel and speak to vendors and service providers from all over the world. Read more about my panel discussion.

I assure you, what happened at the automotive trade shows in Las Vegas, will not stay in Vegas! We are committed to keeping up with the rapidly changing auto repair field.  The training and information gained during this trip will insure that Terry Wynter Auto Service remains the most technologically advanced auto repair center in Southwest Florida.
